The Atlantic is 30' made of fiberglass in 1954-- when these boats were overbuilt making it str0nger than newer boats.
Its mast is also an older model and is stiffer than newer masts, which is an advantage.
It comes with spars and racing sails, and a new pair of teak deck combings--not yet installed(worth over $3,000,)--plus it comes with the 5 poppets stands in the photo.
This boat cruised from Westport CT to Westport MASS and is mentioned in The Great Atlantic The First 85 Years, and mentioned on pages 17, 34, and 74. (It could be launched in Maine and sailed to NY or land transport arranged by buyer).
