Why San Carlos ??
Marina Seca San Carlos charges less than $200 per month for secure, guarded, gated hauled out storage.
One can move into the work yard where one can live aboard (with water, electricity and shower/head "ashore") while working on her.
Other competent yard help is available as well.
San Carlos is an expat, motor & sailor friendly town, Check out What's up San Carlos.
One + hour drive away, Hermosillo has an international airport, one can even take a bus from Phoenix or Tucson airports.
In your vehicle, the five hour drive is on a newer, safe, well maintained 4 lane highway from the US and the staff at Marina San Carlos is top notch.
Uber is available.
SEA DANCERs home port for many years was in Channel Islands marina in Oxnard - she sailed a lot in Cali, to Channel Islands, Cabo/La Paz/Puerto Escondido and numerous islands on Baja, over to San Carlos/Guaymas on mainland Mexico and including a Baja Bash to return to Channel Islands Marina.
A possible scenario would be meeting in San Carlos in October with a couple of weeks sailing to acquaint new owner with the boat.
Or I could meet in San Carlos in early/mid May for a few days to show SEA DANCER.
Call me for a survey from October 2023 and more pics.
Thanks for looking !!
